Diary of my fight with Megaesophagus

In August I had a lovely holiday in Settle with the family and even managed some walks, we didn't go too far as I have to be fed 4 times a day, because of my condition, and I don't much like walking.
Megaesophagus is a condition where the throat becomes enlarged & food is not pushed into the stomach by the muscles and can eventually cause pneumonia if food or fluid trapped in the esophagus is regurgitated into the lungs.
 My dad made me a Bailey chair he'll admit he's no carpenter but it serves it's purpose, although I don't like sitting in there, it's boring especially the 15min waiting time after I've been fed. Sometimes Mum will lift me out & sit me on her knee if she's not too busy.

Diary of my fight with Megaesophagus

My name is Brandy and I am a black 12 year old Lhasa Apso. I live with my Mum & Dad in a medium sized pretty village in South Yorkshire.
Something very strange & frightening happened to me on 12th November 2010, it started as a very ordinary day and I had just enjoyed chewing on one of my favourite chew sticks. Suddenly I was repeatably sick & found swallowing very hard, I was frightened & started to tremble and cry.
Luckily the vets are not very far way & although they were due to close they agreed to see me (phew what a relief). This was the start of my battle with Megaesophagus, a condition my parents had never heard of, I would like to clarify that they are not my real parents as there is no family resemblance, they adopted me when I was 12 weeks old & took me to live with 2 other Lhasa Apso's called Tara and Polly.

The sun was shining in my world until...............

It really feels that spring is finally here, the sun is shining, the washing is blowing on the line and the Guinea Pigs are having their first day out on the lawn. So what is the problem ?, the miserable Royal Mail man has just called, boy can he put a downer on any sunny day.

He hates his job, he hates this country, can't wait to be able to put in a months notice and then go on the sick. Hmmmmmmmm perhaps it's people like him that is making this country what it is, most of us are happy to work and contribute to society on all levels, then there's the work shy, want something for nothing people in this world. Well if moving abroad is the answer to his problems and perhaps could put a smile on his face, I hope his plans come to fruition sooner rather than later and I can have a postperson who smiles now and again.
Rant over and I feel much better for it, yeah the sun is still shining in my world.
