To shop or not to shop

That is the question !, Today has been a day of swilling away the last of the snow & the dirt it leaves behind, how can something so white & beautiful when it first falls become a dirty slurry. Hopefully we will be frost free tonight as my nicely hosed steps & path will become an ice rink, perhaps I should hang a disclaimer on the gate for the paperboy & the postman, yes the postman we are getting post on a Sunday to catch up with the backlog.

To get back to my original train of thought should I fight my way into the local town or shopping mall tomorrow & with all the pushing & shoving come home empty handed, foot sore & grumpy or should I sit here with a nice cup of coffee & peruse some of my friends websites & find that perfect gift for that not so perfect relative.

Well I have made a start already & chosen this blanket for my totally spoilt dog who hasn't been very well lately, she is much improved & deserves a soft fleecy blanket to snuggle up on. I also love the personalised aprons one of those will be perfect for Auntie Susan which one though, decisions, decisions.

Knee deep in frogs

My neighbour yesterday demolished his fish pond & brought me a bucket with 30 frogs & loads of newts, I carefully tipped them into my pond & am hoping they will stay. I have an awful feeling they will all be back at his house this morning wondering what happened to their home.

London Marathon

The news & papers are always full of doom & gloom, it makes you believe there is no good left in the world.
Watching the London Marathon restores my faith in human nature, there are so many good, charitable people out there running & walking for their chosen charities, it is so brilliant.
I am really looking forward to walking/jogging in two charitable runs this year on behalf of Wakefield Hospice, the achievement & atmosphere has been indescribable in the last three years events. Better get some training in soon.

Sunshine

What a beautiful day, lots of menial jobs to do but they are so easier to do when the sun is shining. The guinea pigs are out in their pens mowing the back lawn for me so that's a start. Trying hard to resist the stock of chocolate, I need a slimming buddy to help me shed 1/2 stone to get back to my target weight.
Back to listing this evening, still lots of Gisela Graham stock to put on the site.
